  • I hate Getting Stuff

My mom got me an Andydroid just as I thought my iPod stopped working cos it wouldn’t charge. (it’s okay now) I didn’t want it. It’s powered by cricket and not only is the phone quality shot but it also has shit customer service. The phone isn’t even turned on.

Did I tell you the time she got me a hamster and I cried? I didn’t want it cos she was trying to replace the other one but then it came back and they started fighting. I’d like to believe that fucked me up but I was already me by then and I don’t like animals that much anyway.

I asked for a little sister and I regret that very much. I have one and I cried when she was born because I thought she would replace me. She did. It turns out my mom is the liar, not Angelica.

I asked my boyfriend for a videogame for Christmas and he got me a ring. A $40 ring from walmart and the pieces fell off. Of course I was upset. I mean the videogame will do the same but at least I can enjoy it first.

Learn something: don’t get me anything I didn’t ask for.
Learn something else: I hate kids.

Gus Garcia-Roberts profile of Tea Party Princess Victoria Jackson is this week’s cover story.
Gawker’s Brian Moylan chooses some of the story’s most “insane” quotes. Like:
“Some people thought I was a genius. Some people thought I was retarded.”
“[Weed] made me very creative, horny, and paranoid.”
“I kind of had a crush on Weird Al Yankovic. We kind of went on a date, but I don’t know if he loved me or not.”
“If you get killed because you’re gay, the murderer gets extra time. It’s hilarious! Alcoholism is a sin too, but you don’t see an alcoholic pride parade. Alcoholics hide in little rooms in basements and they go, ‘Hi, I’m Fred.’”

I’ve been seeing this first picture going around on facebook and it’s driving me UP A WALL.

This, folks, is what we call BODY SHAMING. The minute you start putting down one body type in favor of another, you are NOT HELPING THINGS. In today’s society, when EVERYONE is being told constantly (400+ times a day, and that’s a proven fact) that they’re not good enough or they need to change something to be ‘hot’ or ‘sexy’, you cannot possibly blame people for wanting to change their bodies. You have no way of judging why ANY of those women look the way they do. Some people naturally have bodies that are that thin. And yes, some people starve themselves to look like that. But shaming someone for what is quite literally a disease is the lowest of the low. Regardless, no body type is any more or less ‘hot’ than ANY other body type. ALL bodies are good bodies, ALL of us are fighting a hard battle. Don’t think for one moment that you have the right to judge anyone. You wouldn’t like it if the scrutiny was on you.

    Love,

    Amber
